Okay, this recipe actually makes 4 s’mores… But, let’s face it, who’s only eating one of these?!

  • 4 graham crackers (plus extra crumbs)
  • 2 piae crusts, refrigerated
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 8 large marshmallows
  • 2 jars of marshmallow crème
  • Butter

  1. Preheat your pie irons and crush the graham crackers in a bowl.
  2. Lay out the pie crusts on a clean surface and cut them into eight squares roughly the same size as your pie irons.
  3. Butter each piece of pie crust on one side, then sprinkle the crushed crackers over four of the squares.
  4. Divide the chocolate chips evenly between the four pie squares that have crushed crackers on them.
  5. On the other four pie crusts, spread over the marshmallow crème, and top with two marshmallows per square.
  6. Carefully lay the marshmallow pie crusts on top of the cracker-chocolate crusts and gently pinch the sides together.
  7. Take your pie irons off the heat, carefully butter the sides, and then sprinkle some crushed cracker crumbs over.
  8. Place your first s’more into the pie iron and close it, trimming off any overhanging crust.
  9. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until the crust turns golden brown.
  10. Serve hot and melty!

These are some of my all-time favorite campfire cooking lunches, and frankly, I just don’t think it gets any better than a delicious toasted sandwich in the great outdoors!

That said, some of these tasty treats are so good, the kids won’t let me save them for just camping, and I regularly find myself firing up the grill for a campfire treat, whatever the weather!
